Freelance Senior Hydrographic Survey Technician (Employed or freelance)

🛠️ Department Description and responsibilities

In this role, you prepare, collect and process survey data, and report results and deviations to project management and relevant stakeholders in line with project specifications. Your work supports safe and cost-efficient execution.

• Nearshore massflow trenching and Artemis cable tracking measurements
• Rockbag placement

🛠️ Primary Tasks and responsibilities

• Determine, install and configure the required measurement equipment.
• Measure and process data before, during and after execution, and perform field checks in line with specifications and contractual agreements.
• Verify data accuracy, analyse and interpret results, and convert findings into clear reports for project management and other stakeholders.
• Set up and maintain the survey database.
• Assess the performance of measurement equipment and ensure maintenance in accordance with instructions.

📝 Technical profile requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Survey Technician in marine or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of hydrographic survey techniques and equipment.
• Experience with offshore navigation and positioning systems.
• Additional experience with subsea acoustic positioning systems and multibeam.
• Hardware knowledge: Exail GAPS USBL + beacons, Septentrio GNSS, Octans, Norbit multibeam, ROV setup, Artemis cable tracker.
• Software knowledge: QINSY Offshore, QIMERA Offshore and Exail Delphins Subsea.
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics or a related field.

📌 Certifications

• Medical (OGUK)
• STCW and/or BOSIET
• Valid GWO certifications including First Aid, Fire Awareness, Sea Survival, Boat Transfer (risk assessed) and Working at Heights

📍 Eligibility to work on location (VISA/Work Permit)

You must be eligible to work on location and hold a valid visa/work permit where required.

Languages: Fluent spoken and written English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.

Location: Poland, with execution of the works both inside and outside 12NM.
