Freelance Senior Online Surveyor - Offshore Hydrography

🛠️ Department Description and responsibilities

As an Online Surveyor, you support offshore survey operations through remote measurement, positioning and data acquisition activities for marine construction works.

🛠️ Primary Tasks and responsibilities

• Determine, prepare and install the required measurement equipment.
• Carry out measurements and process data before, during and after execution in line with project requirements and specifications.
• Perform field checks and validate data accuracy and quality.
• Analyse and interpret survey data, then prepare clear reports to present results to project management and stakeholders.
• Set up and maintain the relevant survey database.
• Monitor the performance of measuring equipment and ensure maintenance is performed according to instructions.

📝 Technical profile requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as an online surveyor in marine or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of hydrographic survey techniques and equipment.
• Experience with offshore navigation and positioning systems.
• Additional experience with subsea acoustic positioning systems and multibeam equipment.
• Hardware knowledge: Exail GAPS USBL and beacons, Septentrio GNSS, Octans, Norbit multibeam, ROV setup and Artemis cable tracker.
• Software knowledge: QINSY Offshore, QIMERA Offshore and Exail Delphins Subsea.
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics or a related field.

📌 Certifications

• Valid OGUK medical.
• Relevant offshore safety certification such as STCW or BOSIET.
• Valid GWO certifications, including First Aid, Fire Awareness, Sea Survival, Boat Transfer (risk assessed) and Working at Height.

📍 Eligibility to work on location (VISA/Work Permit) Planning

You must be eligible to work on location and meet applicable visa or work permit requirements.

Fluent spoken and written English is required; additional languages are a plus.

📍 Location

Offshore operations in Poland, with execution both inside and outside 12 NM.
