Senior Functional Test Analyst / Feature Quality Owner (Freelance possible)

This assignment focuses on a large-scale digital healthcare platform in Belgium. The solution supports the digital handling of referral prescriptions and medical proposals between healthcare stakeholders, while centralising the exchange of sensitive healthcare data.

Because of the business-critical nature of the platform, the number of parties involved and the very high yearly transaction volume, functional validation must be carried out with a high degree of rigour. Automated testing capabilities are already in place; the main objective of this role is to strengthen the functional quality layer through thorough test analysis, clear coverage definition, disciplined execution and structured reporting.

You will work closely with the delivery team and business stakeholders to help ensure the functional reliability of the solution before release to production.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Analyse user stories and functional specifications to ensure healthcare workflows are fully testable from an early stage.
• Design and maintain functional test scenarios that cover business rules and end-to-end processes.
• Identify functional gaps, edge cases and integration risks across the platform.
• Maintain structured test cases and regression suites in a test management tool such as TestLink or an equivalent solution.
• Execute functional, integration and regression testing across supported platforms.
• Ensure accurate tracking of test execution and defect status.
• Report clearly on test coverage, execution progress and defect follow-up.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyse defects and support resolution.
• Prepare and support User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders.
• Contribute to release validation and Go / No-Go recommendations.

📌 Mandatory Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in functional software testing.
• Proven experience as Test Analyst, Feature Quality Owner or in a similar functional QA role.
• Strong experience in test analysis, scenario design and functional validation.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Experience managing test cases in TestLink, Xray, Zephyr Scale, Octane or equivalent tools.
• Experience with Jira or equivalent tools.
• Experience supporting UAT campaigns with business stakeholders.

🌍 Languages

Good understanding of Dutch, French and English.

Fluent in French or Dutch.

• You are comfortable working in Agile / Scrum teams.
• You have hands-on experience with Jira or equivalent tooling, as well as broader testing and quality assurance practices.
• You communicate effectively with stakeholders in Dutch, French and English.
