📋 Tasks and responsibilities

What does the role of Product Owner Inbound–Outbound involve?

As Product Owner Inbound–Outbound, you act as the business representative for a key digital product within the Customer Experience domain. You help further digitize and optimize inbound and outbound processes and serve as the link between business and IT. You translate needs, ideas and strategic objectives into concrete, high-value solutions, set the right priorities and maintain an end-to-end perspective with attention to the customer, the employee and the distribution partner.

What will you do?

• Represent the business for the product and take ownership of the vision, value and priorities.
• Work closely with stakeholders on both the IT and business side, including Scrum Masters, Agile teams, domain leads, architects, product developers, operational departments, distribution partners, portfolio managers and other Product Owners.
• Own the Product Backlog Items by writing, maintaining and prioritizing changes, stories and related tasks.
• Support the Agile teams in preparing and facilitating Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, and contribute actively during Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups and other ceremonies.
• Translate identified needs and high-level feature requests into clear, manageable user stories.
• Approve and close stories once the agreed criteria have been met.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) when required.
• Take an active role in demos, evaluations and retrospectives.
• Ensure smooth and transparent collaboration between business stakeholders and the Scrum teams.
• Align sufficiently with the business and manage expectations in a clear way.
• Follow market and digital trends and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

📝Your profile

This background will help you succeed in the role

• At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Product Owner.
• Experience in change management and transformation initiatives.
• Strong business experience, for example in customer service, product development or operations.
• Experience organizing and supporting projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum; experience in a SAFe context is a strong plus.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Customer-oriented mindset and way of working.
• Well organized, decisive, autonomous and hands-on.
• People-oriented and energized by collaboration.
• Able to guide others through change and maintain an end-to-end overview.
• Very good command of Dutch, French and English.
