QA Automation Engineer - CRM & Web Applications

As a QA Test Engineer, you will help ensure the quality of portal and CRM applications through both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with development teams, product stakeholders, and other platform owners to validate requirements, uncover defects, and strengthen QA practices.

• Create, maintain, and run test plans, test cases, and test scripts for portal and CRM solutions.
• Define and execute automated testing scripts and contribute to the broader test strategy.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, and follow up on defects using tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Work with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.
• Coordinate with other systems and teams to assess system impact and support cross-platform collaboration, including environments such as SAP and Clarity.
• Validate data integrity between portal and CRM platforms.
• Carry out API testing and backend validation where required.
• Verify compatibility across browsers, devices, and environments.
• Take part in sprint planning, sprint reviews, and QA reporting activities.
• Continuously improve QA processes, testing standards, and methodologies.

Required knowledge and skills

• At least 4 years of experience in QA or software testing for web applications and CRM systems.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the QA lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce.
• Familiarity with test management and issue-tracking tools, including Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and API testing.
• Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Platform administration.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Vue, TypeScript, and RESTful API development.
• Good understanding of D365 solution management, security roles, and environment setup.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers such as Apache Kafka.
• Solid understanding of database concepts, data flows, and system integrations.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React and Vue.js.
• Understanding of Azure services, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines used for deployments.
• Strong debugging skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Jest, Puppeteer, BrowserStack, Cypress, Selenium, or Katalon.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile or Scrum ways of working.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• ISTQB certification or an equivalent qualification is a plus.
• Experience using AI to automate test cases is considered an advantage.

Location

Hybrid working model with a combination of office-based work in Leuven and remote work from home.
