Senior Functional AI Business Analyst (Freelance possible)

📋 Tasks and responsibilities

As a Functional Analyst with a strong AI focus, you work in an Agile, multidisciplinary environment together with profiles such as marketers, analysts and process engineers. You act as the link between business needs and technical implementation, and translate requirements and processes into clear functional specifications.

• Analyse, challenge and refine business requirements, processes and data needs.
• Translate business needs into end-to-end functional specifications and pragmatic, cost-efficient solutions.
• Contribute to AI and GenAI initiatives, applying best practices for analysis, compliance, guardrails, scope management and testing.
• Work iteratively and with an MVP mindset to deliver value quickly and support rapid time to market.
• Assess dependencies across processes, solutions and stakeholders from an end-to-end perspective.
• Monitor and analyse incidents and defects, and define the actions needed for resolution.
• Prepare and execute tests in close collaboration with colleagues and other teams.
• Support efficient processes and high-quality customer interactions, including call center-related customer journeys.
• Facilitate meetings and present analyses, proposals and outcomes to stakeholders.

📝Your profile

You combine strong analytical capabilities with experience in AI-driven analysis and a customer-centric approach.

• You have solid experience in Artificial Intelligence, with a strong focus on analysing, challenging and testing requirements, processes, data and business value.
• You are familiar with best practices for GenAI implementations, including compliance considerations and process guardrails.
• You have strong analytical thinking and can identify, evaluate and manage dependencies.
• You are able to assess requirements and proposed solutions end-to-end.
• You work comfortably in an Agile setup and are used to sprint-based deadlines.
• You are a good listener, communicate clearly and keep the customer experience central.
• You enjoy facilitating meetings and feel confident presenting to a group.
• You have knowledge of the Belgian utilities market.
• You understand customer interactions in a call center context.
• You communicate fluently in English, Dutch and French; English combined with French or Dutch must be at an excellent level.
