Senior Workday HCM & Integrations Consultant (Freelance possible)

📋 Tasks and responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Workday Consultant with strong expertise in Workday HCM Core, Recruitment and Talent, combined with advanced knowledge of Workday integrations. You bring together functional HR process understanding and technical capabilities in PECI and Workday Studio to support, optimize and maintain business unit processes.

In this role, you will help adapt Workday to evolving business needs, ensure stable day-to-day operations and contribute to continuous improvement in HR processes. You will work closely with analysts, project managers, end users and other Workday specialists.

Key Responsibilities

Workday HCM Configuration & Support

• Configure, maintain and optimize the Workday HCM Core module
• Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions
• Support daily operations and resolve system-related issues

Integrations & Technical Expertise

• Manage and monitor inbound and outbound integrations with external systems such as payroll and benefits platforms
• Troubleshoot integration issues and safeguard data accuracy and consistency
• Work with Workday Studio and Core Connectors, including PECI

📝Your profile

Experience

• Proven experience as a Workday Consultant or Workday Analyst
• Strong hands-on expertise with Workday HCM Core, Recruitment & Talent
• Advanced experience with Workday Studio and PECI integrations
• Experience working in complex Workday integration landscapes

Functional knowledge

• Good understanding of HR processes, including hiring, job changes, compensation and payroll
• Ability to translate business needs into effective system configurations

Soft skills

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work with both HR and IT stakeholders
• Structured, detail-oriented and quality-driven approach
• Strong team player who collaborates effectively across HR and IT teams

Languages

• Dutch
• English

Nice to Have

• Workday certifications in HCM, Integrations or Studio
• Experience with complex payroll environments
• Knowledge of reporting, including Workday reports; Prism Analytics is a plus
