Acoustic & Vibration Project Engineer (Employed or freelance)

📋 Tasks and responsibilities

As Project Engineer within an acoustics & vibrations team, you contribute to engineering and consultancy assignments linked to buildings and infrastructure projects. Your work may span feasibility studies, concept and detailed design, technical support during execution, and site follow-up.

You will operate in a specialised environment focused on environmental acoustics, building acoustics and structural dynamics. The team supports projects in sectors such as buildings, infrastructure, industry and nuclear facilities, with activities primarily based in Belgium.

• Carry out specialised noise and vibration measurements.
• Analyse measurement results and prepare clear reports with relevant indicators in line with applicable standards and legislation.
• Develop models and simulations for the generation, propagation and impact of noise and vibration in open and built environments using dedicated software tools.
• Work in close collaboration with stakeholders to identify effective and practical solutions through a problem-solving approach.
• Monitor the budget, planning and quality of the assigned engineering services.
• Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with the applicable quality procedures and health & safety rules.
