🛠️ Department description and responsibilities
For a role based in Antwerp, we are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Officer. In this strategic position, you will focus on identifying, attracting and hiring highly specialised engineering talent to support complex international operations.
The main focus is on headhunting highly educated profiles, such as Civil Engineers, typically with 7 to 10+ years of experience, across both niche technical disciplines and broader project management roles.
🛠️ Primary Tasks and responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for senior and highly specialised profiles.
- Proactively source and approach top engineering talent through advanced sourcing and headhunting techniques.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for niche expert roles as well as broader positions such as Project Managers.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to translate business needs into effective recruitment strategies.
📌 Strategic Impact
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill and high-demand engineering roles.
- Provide market insights on talent availability, salary benchmarks and competitor positioning.
- Support employer branding initiatives aimed at attracting senior engineering talent.
📌 Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external search partners where needed and help ensure high-quality delivery.
- Contribute to talent attraction initiatives aligned with business priorities.
📌 Market Mapping & Reporting
Structured market mapping is a key deliverable in this role. You will be expected to map target companies and talent pools across multiple dimensions:
- Organisational mapping: identify and document company structures, including department leads, service or division managers, and reporting lines, to build a clear view of relevant decision-makers and potential candidates.
- Network mapping: track indirect connections and referral paths, using each interaction to expand and strengthen the network over time.
- Reporting & market intelligence: provide regular reporting on mapped companies per sector, people approached, interviews conducted and successfully engaged candidates, together with insights into talent shortages, bottlenecks and emerging labour market trends.
Initial guidance will be provided on which companies and sectors to prioritise during the first phase of the search.
📝 Technical profile requirements
- Proven experience in Talent Acquisition, ideally in both corporate and agency environments.
- Strong track record in headhunting senior and highly skilled technical profiles, preferably within engineering or industrial environments.
- Experience recruiting Civil Engineers or similarly highly educated technical profiles is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage recruitment processes for senior-level candidates.

- Experience working in international or complex project-driven environments.
- Affinity with employer branding and talent attraction strategies for highly skilled professionals.
- Experience working with search firms and managing external recruitment partnerships.
📌 Language proficiencies
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written; additional languages are a strong plus.
