ICT Project Manager - SAP FSM & Mobile Applications (Employed or freelance)

Project overview

You will coordinate the replacement of a platform used by meter readers in Brussels to register analog gas and electricity meters. The landscape includes a core application, handheld devices for field staff, a route-optimization tool, customer channels for submitting readings online or by phone, and an interface with an external print service.

The target setup is based on SAP Field Service Management (SAP FSM) combined with a customized mobile application.

📋 Tasks and responsibilities

• Lead and steer the end-to-end delivery of the platform replacement.
• Coordinate the functional design and the development phase, including initial testing.
• Ensure alignment with the internal SAP team for changes in SAP IS-U.
• Coordinate adjustments in SAP ECC for service management.
• Oversee the implementation of SAP FSM, including the configuration of the connector between SAP and FSM.
• Follow up the implementation of the PDA application developed in Apple Swift.
• Coordinate the integrations with the phone channel, the customer web channel, the print interface, and the email/SMS servers.
• Support and monitor internal testing and the Business Acceptance Test.
• Prepare and follow up the transition and go-live.

Scope note: the phone channel and the print interface remain in place, while the new customer website is developed by another team.
