IAM Automation Specialist - SailPoint & Windows (Employed or freelance)

📋 Tasks and responsibilities

Within an infrastructure team, we are looking for an IAM & Security Automation Specialist to provide operational and technical support for ongoing security initiatives.

This role focuses primarily on Identity & Access Management (IAM), with particular attention to the support and further development of the SailPoint environment, as well as the automation of security-related operational processes in a Microsoft Windows enterprise environment.

A key part of the role is to support and improve certificate lifecycle and certificate renewal processes, with the aim of reducing manual effort, increasing reliability and ensuring continuity of security services.

You will work closely with Security, Infrastructure and Application teams and combine hands-on technical work with analysis, troubleshooting, process optimisation and documentation.

Main responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support for IAM-related initiatives.
• Develop, support and maintain the SailPoint environment, including the analysis and resolution of IAM-related incidents and issues.
• Support IAM processes such as identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, role management, access governance, access review and periodic recertification.
• Contribute to role-based access control (RBAC), role modelling and role mining activities.
• Help automate certificate lifecycle and renewal activities in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, particularly in PowerShell and/or Python.
• Support integrations between IAM and security solutions and the existing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot issues related to identities, authentication, access rights and security services.
• Support the testing and implementation of security-related changes in line with relevant ITIL processes, especially change management.
• Document technical solutions, operational procedures and automated workflows.
• Collaborate with other technical teams to continuously improve IAM and security operations.

📝 Your profile

• You are fluent in English.
• You are fluent in French or Dutch.
• You have solid experience as a System Administrator, including the setup, management and maintenance of systems.
• You have hands-on experience automating IT or security operational processes using scripting technologies such as PowerShell.
• You have strong experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM), including identity lifecycle, access management and identity governance.
• You have experience providing operational or technical support for security and/or IAM solutions in an enterprise environment.
• You have experience working in Microsoft Windows-based enterprise environments within IT infrastructure.
• You have proven experience with SailPoint in an enterprise IAM context.
• You are familiar with access review and periodic recertification processes.
• You have knowledge of RBAC, role modelling and role mining.
• You understand relevant ITIL processes, in particular change management.
• You are familiar with enterprise authentication technologies and protocols such as LDAP, Kerberos, OIDC and SSO.
• You have knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and/or NIST.
