📌 Client information

This role is based in a specialised warehouse and logistics environment supporting internal stakeholders such as vessels, projects and employees across multiple international locations.

🛠️ Department description and responsibilities

The warehouse is part of a broader logistics and procurement organization. Its main activities include the timely receipt and registration of incoming goods, the preparation of outbound shipments by road, air freight or container transport, and the handling of returns, hazardous goods and customs-related flows.

As Warehouse Officer, you are responsible for the accurate administrative processing and coordination of parcel flows within the distribution warehouse, helping to ensure an efficient and reliable logistics operation.

🛠️ Primary Tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage pre-receiving and receiving activities, with a focus on accuracy, priorities, lead times, safety, packaging quality and document flow.
  • Coordinate and monitor transit goods, including procedures, inspections and correct identification.
  • Supervise parcel put-away activities, perform weekly clean-up and corrections, and help maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse.
  • Carry out stock management tasks, including inventory checks, processing and reporting.
  • Handle non-conformities administratively, ensuring proper registration, root-cause follow-up and communication with stakeholders across the supply chain.
  • Process returns administration in line with procedures, quality checks and follow-up actions such as repair or storage.
  • Act as a contact point for internal stakeholders, support continuous improvement and contribute to safe, well-organised warehouse operations.

📝 Technical profile requirements

  • You have a few years of experience in logistics, preferably in a multi-modal environment involving air, road and sea transport.
  • You have sound knowledge of legislation related to road, air or maritime transport.
  • You have a basic understanding of customs regulations.
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations is an asset.
  • You enjoy administrative work and pay close attention to detail.
  • You communicate effectively with stakeholders by email and phone.
  • You bring structure and planning to a continuously changing maritime environment.
  • You are solution-driven, stress-resistant and service-minded.
  • You are fluent in Dutch (C2) and English.
  • You are proficient in MS Office and ERP systems; knowledge of MAXIMO is a plus.

  • You have strong negotiation skills and a communicative, analytical and results-oriented approach.
  • You have a collaborative mindset combined with a hands-on mentality.
  • You have project management capabilities.

📌 Language proficiencies

  • Fluent spoken and written English; proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset.
