Freelance Medior Communications Officer

We are looking for a Communication Officer to support internal and external communication activities. In this role, you will help maintain continuity, consistency, and quality across communication initiatives while working closely with stakeholders throughout the organization.

🛠️ Department Description and responsibilities

You will be part of the communication function and contribute to both operational and project-based communication work.

🛠️ Primary Tasks and responsibilities

• Support the development and rollout of internal and external communication campaigns.
• Coordinate communication projects, including planning, stakeholder alignment, and execution follow-up.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen visibility through events, media support, and partnerships.
• Create and edit content for channels such as the website, social media, newsletters, and internal platforms.
• Support the daily management of social media channels with consistent and engaging messaging.
• Contribute to the smooth operation and ongoing improvement of communication tools, systems, and processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging and support communication needs across the organization.

📝 Non-Technical profile requirements

• Several years of relevant experience in a communication and/or marketing role.
• A practical, hands-on mindset with strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Solid organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive or confidential information.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and/or Drupal.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or photo and video editing tools is a plus.

✅ Methodology/Certification requirements

A degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Fluent in English and Dutch.
