Expert Solution Architect - Belgian Energy Flexibility Markets (Freelance)

📋 Tasks and responsibilities

We are looking for an expert-level Solution Architect with strong expertise in flexibility markets and related market processes to support the design and evolution of market platforms in the Belgian energy sector.

This role requires a strong combination of architectural expertise, sector knowledge, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Key activities include:

• Defining and maintaining solution architectures for flexibility market initiatives and related processes.

• Translating business and market needs into clear architecture designs and solution blueprints.

• Coordinating architectural alignment across DSO, TSO, and other platform stakeholders.

• Supporting the evolution of flexibility platforms, ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability.

• Contributing to architecture governance, RFP preparation, and solution guidance in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.

📝 Your profile

• More than 8 years of experience as a Solution Architect, including extensive experience in the Belgian energy sector.

• Expert knowledge of the Belgian energy market.

• Proven experience coordinating between DSO and TSO platform teams.

• Strong expertise in flexibility markets and related market processes.

• Proven experience with flexibility platforms.

• Aantoonbare kennis van en ervaring met modelleertechnieken en tools zoals ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML en Sparx EA.

• Proven experience with Azure-based platforms.

• Proven senior-level experience with Normalized Systems technology.

• Proven experience co-authoring RFPs in the energy sector.

• Proven experience as Scrum Master in complex multi-stakeholder energy projects.

• Taalvereiste: Engels op Europees CEFR-niveau B2.

• Taalvereiste: Nederlands of Frans op Europees CEFR-niveau C1.
