Senior Product Development Team Lead (Freelance possible)

📋 Tasks and responsibilities

You will join a large Belgian IT environment that develops digital platforms supporting legal and administrative processes for professionals, citizens and public institutions.

The job: Team Lead Product Development

With your team of developers, functional analysts and testers, you are responsible for the development of applications from both a functional and technical point of view.

You contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.

You want to...

• Manage the complete product lifecycle of a product driven by the product backlog (product lifecycle covers analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and L3 support);
• Be responsible for delivering new versions of your products based on the agreed scope provided by the Product Manager;
• Handle the day-to-day people management of a team of analysts, testers and developers;
• Ensure compliance with development standards (security, confidentiality, auditability, etc.);
• Help the team as an agile coach to deliver stories and epics;
• Facilitate the continuous improvement of key development performance indicators (velocity, quality, etc.);
• Facilitate delivery within the agreed timeframe;
• Establish and ensure the adoption of standards, ceremonies and best practices for agile ways of working;
• Monitor and communicate the progress of agile teams’ key metrics (e.g. OKRs and KPIs) to stakeholders (e.g. IT and business leaders);
• Facilitate the organization’s transition to a continuous delivery model and the adoption of an agile mindset across stakeholders;
• Assist in establishing chapters and developing a culture of continuous improvement across teams.

📝Your profile

You have

• A Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent through experience;
• A proven track record in project and process management;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Experience in coaching teams in an agile way of working;
• Knowledge of and/or interest in IT tools;
• An openness to new solutions and technologies;
• A very good knowledge of English, Dutch & French.

• Able to prioritize various requests by balancing importance and urgency, while keeping the customer’s interest as a priority;
• A team player who is comfortable sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
