Senior Business Functional Analyst (Freelance possible)

📋 Tasks and responsibilities

As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will contribute to the ongoing evolution of business applications and act as a key link between business stakeholders and development teams.

• Gather, clarify and analyze business needs through discussions and workshops, and help align stakeholders on the most suitable approach.
• Define functional solution options in line with the IT architecture, taking into account the end-to-end application and technology landscape.
• Validate proposed solutions with the business and document the outcome in clear functional designs.
• Support the full development lifecycle, including needs analysis and functional analysis, using established methods and tools such as UML and Enterprise Architect.
• Review technical solutions proposed by development partners and ensure they fit the functional expectations.
• Monitor the quality of development deliverables and oversee the different testing phases up to implementation.
• Coordinate, prepare and execute test plans to ensure applications meet the expected production quality standards.
• Maintain and update reference documentation for the applications.
• Collaborate with developers on the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of applications.
• Assess, document and follow up identified defects through to resolution.
• Contribute to problem management and provide second-line support in the event of incidents.
