SAP Production Planning & Quality Specialist (Freelance possible)

About the role

This SAP position centers on production-driven processes in a manufacturing setting, with a clear focus on SAP PE, QM and PPDS.

You take the lead in and support end-to-end SAP implementations, covering fit-gap analysis, system configuration, functional design documentation, training, UAT, data gathering and migration, go-live support, and final documentation. In this role, you work closely with logistics, controlling, procurement and other business domains to secure smooth SAP integration across domains.

You collaborate proactively with cross-functional stakeholders and production team members to shape detailed, scalable and sustainable processes. This assignment calls for someone who can grasp complex business flows, challenge stakeholders to clarify their real needs, and translate those requirements into structured SAP solutions in both template-based and custom-built environments.

You also support business users through clear communication, maintain alignment between domains, and contribute to successful deployment activities in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP delivery across the full implementation lifecycle, from analysis through go-live and documentation.
• Design and optimize production-related SAP processes within a manufacturing environment.
• Translate business needs into robust functional solutions across connected SAP domains.
• Work with stakeholders across logistics, controlling, procurement and production to ensure process consistency and integration.
• Support deployment activities, including additional travel where needed around go-live periods.

Project scope

• Production Execution (PE): strong expertise in SAP PE processes in a manufacturing context, including shop floor integration and execution flows.
• Quality Management (QM): solid experience in SAP QM, ideally combined with integration with Labvantage or a comparable LIMS platform.
• PPDS: good understanding of Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling, with the ability to connect planning and execution processes.
• Experience with EWM integration is an advantage.
• Experience in greenfield implementations is a plus.

Work environment

You work in an international, multicultural setting with regular on-site presence in Hoboken and travel when required, including possible additional travel during go-live phases.

📝 Your profile

• Proven experience with end-to-end SAP implementations.
• Strong expertise in SAP integration across domains, including logistics, controlling and procurement.
• Hands-on experience with SAP PE, QM and PPDS in a manufacturing company.
• PPDS knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with integration with Labvantage or a similar LIMS platform, and preferably EWM.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot SAP issues is a plus.
• You communicate clearly, in a structured and business-oriented way, and can explain complex solutions in a simple manner to stakeholders.
• You are comfortable challenging the business to uncover the underlying requirements.
• You collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical colleagues and build strong working relationships.
• You demonstrate a proactive mindset, resilience under pressure and flexibility when priorities shift.
• You are willing to be on site in Hoboken every week.
• You are fluent in English.
• Good French is required to support project activities for the Grenoble deployment.
• Polish is a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• SAP certification is an asset, but hands-on experience is considered more important.
