π Tasks and responsibilities
The Mainframe System Analyst will have the following mission:
- Work with business stakeholders to translate business needs for small and medium requests into clear requirements for the IT implementation team.
- Understand the IT application landscape and document requirements for applications, including front-end solutions integrated with different back-end systems.
- Analyze how the different application components are interconnected to deliver accurate and complete analyses and requirements.
- Prepare and execute test activities to validate the team's deliverables.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate with team members such as the Business PO, fellow business analysts, the architect, and back-end developers within the Agile team.
π Your profile
- At least 5 years of experience in insurance business analysis.
- At least 5 years of experience in a mainframe / IMS / Cobol / DB2 environment.
- Strong experience in insurance, specifically P&C Retail (not banking and not life insurance).
- Knowledge of DB2.
- Knowledge of IMS.
- Knowledge of Cobol, including the ability to review code changes delivered by an offshore team.
- Affinity with application architecture and a good understanding of how components are connected.
- A structured mindset, with the ability to deliver precise and accurate analyses.
- Good communication skills in French and English. Team communication is mainly in French, while English is used with external providers.
